Hello,

I tried connecting my Acer Aspire to my TV using an HDMI cable.  I think the issue is my laptop also has a VGA output.  Could \i choose which output my laptop uses?

After connecting with HDMI cable, did you try switching your TV display to different display settings? You need to check the TV manual to find how to change them, normally using Main menu then settings.
