I think it is quite a big problem for me. The message from the battery label is "plugged in, not charging" and if i unplug the charger, the computer shuts down immediately. Any solutions? while charging the light is red and sometimes blinks.

There's a good chance your laptop's problem is a totally dead, unchargable battery.

so i need to buy a new battery?

If your laptop boots up ok and runs good on the power supply, but will not start up with just the battery and the battery will not charge, then you probably need a new battery.
