You can't fix bad sectors anymore. In the past you could do a low level format through the BIOS, in this days you would completely destroy your disk. Consider the following fact: If your 1TB hard disk contains bad sectors which causing problems with your OS than it's already time to replace this unit. Every hard disk includes an amount of reserve sectors, normally a few MB. If your OS is pointing you to hard disk errors this means, all of this reserve sectors are already depleted. Which means this hard disk is dying.
