Seen this problem before. Did you by chance uninstall the program "Launch Manager"?
Even if you didn't I would say to try and reinstall it. Here is a link to the application from the Acer website.
If that doesnt work I would suggest simply recovering Windows and bringing the unit back to factory defaults. Doing this will eliminate any software issues, and if the problem persists it's likely the button itself is the issue. But to be perfectly honest I would assume launch manager is the culprit.
Try out the link I sent you and if it doesn't work let me know and I can walk you through a recovery.

Ok guys, pretty sure I have it. Acer uses a program called launch manager to manage FN keys. here's a link from the Acer site: Launch Manager
Download this and install it. There's a chance this won't work for you jjw258, but if it doesn't work for either of you please let me know.

jjw258,
Was your bluetooth ever working? According to what I've found your system doesn't have a bluetooth adapter.

according to the sticker on the bottom of the computer it says this device contains a WLAN module is that diiferent than a bluetooth adapter? I'm not sure what that means, But I know in the past I have been able to connect my cell phone with my computer with out a cable. Is it possible that the module has been diabled and if so how do I enable it.
