What drivers should i install for the first time?
Here is downloadable list from acer driver download site for my model.

* Audio_Realtek_6.0.1.6865_W7x64_A

* Bluetooth_Atheros_8.0.1.305_W7x64_A        vs.  Bluetooth_Broadcom_6.5.1.4500_W7x64_A

* CardReader_Broadcom_1.0.0.250_W7x64_A

* Chipset_Intel_9.4.0.1017_W7x64_A

* Lan_Broadcom_15.6.0.6_W7x64_A

* MgmtEngine_Intel_9.5.2.1489_W7x64_A

* TouchPad_ELANTECH_11.6.23.203_W7x64_A   vs.  TouchPad_Synaptics_16.3.12.37_W7x64_A

* USB 3.0_Intel_2.5.0.19_W7x64_A

* VGA_AMD_12.100.14.3000_W7x64_A  vs . VGA_Intel_10.18.10.3355_W7x64_A

And most important for me:
* Wireless LAN_Atheros_10.0.0.263_W7x64_A   vs. Wireless LAN_Broadcom_6.30.223.75_W7x64_A

After reading a few tips from internet i conclude that:
1. HW Vendor Detector from Acer site NOT WORKING (it shows nothing when i run it)

2. In Device Manager, there is no "Network adapters" category until I install some drivers, so I CAN'T do "right-click/properties/details/hardware Ids

3. I can't run my Acer CD

Other info:

# Acer Aspire E1-572G 54204G50MNII
# Intel Core i5 4200U, Haswell technology
# dedicated Radeon HD 8670M 1GB graphic card
# Bluetooth, VGA, HDMI, DVD, USB 3.0
# Motherboard: Acer EA50_HW (U3E1)
# Windows 7 64, bit, ultimate

Please can you answer me:
1. How can i check what brand of wireless driver my laptop support (Atheros or Broadcom) if hardware vendor detector (from site) isnt working? (Are there such thing as "your laptop must support Atheros to install Atheros driver"?)
2. Solve my other 3 blue/red dillemas with arguments.
3. (less important) why HW vendor detector isn't working

Sorry for my long post, and if you answer me at least Q1 and Q2 i wont forget to give you kudos.

  • Get tweaking dot coms system information tool.Uncheck everything except Hardware and run Basic.Save log file whereever you want. It will have the name of your wifi card.

    Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Security, and then, under System, clicking Device Manager.

    If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    Where you see the Yellow exclamation mark, double click it, choose "Details" tab, from the dropdown menu choose "HardwareIDs", click the first string and copy/paste here

    I'm not an Acer employee.
