Hi, thanks for writing! ![]()
I've got the same laptop as I said, but I've been working Office 2010 on it since I bought it and I still have the problem. Furthermore, I have disabled windows update... I think it may be a hardware problem, not a software problem... If I find sth I'll tell you!
Keep in touch!

Hi,
Thought I would give you all an update.
After I did my restore (before Office 2013) it dropped my connection a couple times again.
I thought I would try installed the latest WiFi driver 10.0.0.217 from the acer site again and this time it seemed to have worked.
(Uninstalled old drivers, restarted, installed new drivers, restarted)
I have been running the latop now for about 2 - 3 days now without any problems (touch wood).

Wow, I thought that my constant internet connection problems were something related to my own network...glad to know it's my new computer! I'm downloading this now but, due to my internet connection problems, it's taking forever. If this helps, I will be so happy. I have to figure out how to uninstall old drivers.

uggg it took me over 1 hour to get to 50% of this download, then I lost connectivity and it made me restart from the beginning.

I've just bought a USB Network adapter waiting for Acer Driver. It's the only working solution...

Hi guys,
Add me the list of v5-571 wifi limited access bug.
Extremeley anoying but anyway ive manually removed the drivers for bluetooth and wifi and on 217v3 drivers from acer. seems ok at the min but i know from experience it could take 50mins to happen.
incase it helps there is a 221 driver available from the manufacturer so i have this ready to try if it happens again. seems acer doesnt care if this issue has been going on since last year and still is not sorted.
nice one ACER

Same problem here with a V5-531. Randomly disconnects, the event log shows nothing but failed DNS which is obviously a symptom rather than a cause.
Tried all the drivers, including 217. Tried disabling power management, disabling bluetooth, completely uninstalling the drivers. Every solution offered up.
Acer - answers? This is clearly a very, very common problem.

Right... What's the official Acer's position about this? I have the same problem here with my Aspire M5-481PTG
