Solução aceita

Dis-satisfied with customer service

I booked my Acer laptop in for a repair under warranty on a 26th august 2013,
after 10 days i called for a repair update only to be told my laptop wasn't in the repair center I called ,
who confirmed delivery to acer on the 27th august . I called acer back and was asked to "give it 2 working days
to (escalate the case) which I did.
After 2 days i called the repair center again and was told I would have my laptop back within 7 days, after 10 days had passed
I still didn't have my laptop and decided to call the repair enter again this time I was told again that ups
hadn't delivered my laptop to acer again , an Acer employee decided to call ups again only to be told
that they had indeed delivered to acer for repair,i then spoke to an acer manager who asked me to give
them another 2 days to escalate the case repair, 3 weeks has passed and I still haven't received my laptop,
I am extremely dis-satisfied with the level of service I have received so far, this is the third time I have returned this laptop ith the same fault
the acer repair center definitely received my laptop
(I have the tracking number from UPS)
I would be obliged if someone from Acer would contact me to help resolve this matter.

Re: Dis-satisfied with customer service

You go man ! Bite that leg and dont let go until they give you back your toy! I also am experiencing some nerve-racking interactions with the repair shop and customer service regarding what should be a simple power issue with my two-month old Aspire S3.

Re: Dis-satisfied with customer service

Thanks for you're comment very interesting..what repair center are you dealing with?...this is the 3rd time this has hapened with this laptop the repair should be a simple enough fix (faulty sound Jack) I would've did the repair myself but why should I when its under warranty, the biggest headache is the whereabouts of the laptop,I've made an official complaint to Acer when I've had a reply I'll post it for all to see, good luck with your fix mate take care....

Re: Dis-satisfied with customer service

peterduffy21,

I sent my Aspire S3 in (had to pay UPS shipping & insurance cost $26) to the repair facility at Temple Texas, per Acer Support direction. Long story but I got it back in the same unserviceable condition that I sent it in although they claimed to have changed power cord, which they did not.

Customer service on the other hand seems to be located several oceans away in India or Pakistan. Chatting or talking to them is like putting my tongue into a fishbowl full of pyranhas.

Haha same problem here in Scotland, Delhi call centre!!! Acer emailed me a free ups shipping form but I guess the "under warranty " had something to do with that...

Re: Dis-satisfied with customer service

peterduffy,

Warranty rules must be different in Scotland. I had to prepay UPS shipping myself as well as shipping insurance. As to Delhi call centre, god bless the Wealthy Oriental Gentlemen ! :smileyhappy:

Re: Dis-satisfied with customer service

Lol...no the shipping is definitely free in UK the repair centre is only about 400 miles away in England,is your repair center in USA? As for the Delhi escapade? ? I felt like asking him to go out and grab a tourist so I could understand what was being said....

Yes, Acer repair center is in fact in Texas, USA.

I'd better not say any more about Kootrapali and his mates; it only makes my blood pressure rise.

Re: Dis-satisfied with customer service

After 6 more days and 5 phone calls later I was advised that Acer have raised a trace with UPS Shipping and this is going to take 8 days, I am aware of a UPS tracer being raised on September 12 2013 after this "tracer" was raised I contacted the acer repair centre again and was told " your laptop is in the repair centre depending on availability of replacement parts you should have your laptop within 7 days" so why the need for a second tracer ?? UPS are only going to say they delivered the laptop on August 27 as they said when the first tracer was raised, would someone from Acer please answer this post or at the very least comment..
I am looking for a department or email address so I may make a claim for a replacement laptop
