Hi, I have an Aspire 5750-6667 that just stopped working one day so I purchased the recovery discs. I reloaded the system but the next day windows will not start; startup repair says that the root cause is that the registry is corrupt (error code = 0X45d). Can this be repaired or should I start looking for a new computer?

That error message is usually tied to a hardware problem. The hard drive could be going bad and thus the error code. One suggestion would be formatting the hard drive, then reinstalling the operating system using your recovery media. If you still face this error, please contact Acer's technical support in your region.
