Hi all from sunny south of France, hope to get answer as to whether I can connect my Acer Aspire one 533 to the TV for viewing online programs with the factory fitted video card, and just need to get a vga to scart cable or is it more complicated or not possible.

Hopefully some can answer  no discussion topic for " Connecting to TV"

You have a VGA female output connector on the 533. If you can find a VGA male to SCART cable, it would probably work on a SCART input TV but no sound.  Otherwise, you'd need a double male VGA cable for a VGA input TV or monitor, again with no sound. You also may need to use the Fn+F5 or Fn+F6 display toggles.
