Hi,

I am running a Acer Aspire V3 771G notebook.

Due to virus problems I tried to factory restore using the Alt+f10 Method, however the process always stops before 100% and says the process couldn't be completed due to a I/O error.

I've also tried booting from a windows media disk however I lost my bios password...

I tried to remove the bios password with hardware modification by removing the cmos battery for a couple minutes and putting it back in but that didn't work.

Any solutions?

Help is greatly appreciated, as my notebook is pretty much my life.

Remove the CMOS battery again. Then get a good nights sleep. Then put it back in again. Report back with results.
