Hello everyone.  First post here.  I am trying to help my son-in-law with his Acer TimelineX, model Aspire 4830T-6678.  He had so many viruses on it, it wouldn't do any thing.  I restored the computer to factory settings and everything was working fine; however, I was attempting to do a install of Linux Mint as a dual boot, and accidently bumped up against the DVD open button.  causing the disk to pop out, freezing the computer.  Normally I would remove the battery and start over, but there is No BATTERY! 

Does anyone know how I can shut this laptop off, or get it to reboot?

It has no power button? Usually have to depressa  power button for at least 5 seconds to power down a frozen system. If that doesn't work, the battery should eventually auto power down when it gets low enough. If you still want to remove the battery just follow this link http://worksoperations.com/acer-timelinex-4830t-6642-battery-replacement-instructions-how-to/ A bit of a hassle but I wouldn't try to do it till it's powered down.
