Help I can not get into my acer aspire E 15 I get the sign on window and can not remember my passwork Please it is a brand new unit  what can I do

Hi there,

I think its a computer password your asking not the microsoft password is that right?

If it is..

The only way to fix this is to restore the machine [Recovery]

If its running on a win7 or Vista

Turn off the computer
Upon turning it on Press and Hold the ALT key and keep tapping F10 until you see the Acer Recovery management
Choose Completely restore system to factory defaults
Let the machine run for 30mins -1 hr. [make sure that its plug in to power]

If its running on a Win8 or higher OS

Turn on the computer until you reach the Password page
Once on the password page Press and HOLD the SHIFT button [do not let go]
Click the power icon that you can see on the bottom left of the screen and choose RESTART[do not let go of theSHIFT]
Once machine restart you will enter the Advance option page
Choose Troubleshoot and there you will see the Acer Recovery option.
Click the 1st option to RESTORE the computer

Let the machine run for 30mins -1 hr. [make sure that its plug in to power]

Once completed you may now setup the machine again as it is just turn on for the first use and create a new password
