Broadcom wireless device firmware lost in a BIOS update

Hello, I've update my netbook BIOS (Aspire One AOD250). From the original factory version v1.23 to the lastest one, v1.29. Everything went all right but the wireless card; it doesn't work. Operating system says to me: Broadcom BCM94312HMG. Firmware is missing. The light on the case doesn't blink and do not respond to the on/off button (on the case too). It seems like the wireless card has been taken off from the computer.

How can I proceed to fix this issue? Does anyone know?, thank you.

You can try flashing the BIOS back to 1.23 and see if the wireless card "comes back".

It shouldn't be affected by a BIOS update.

Are you seeing the card in Device Manager?

Where are you getting the "firmware is missing" message?

Sorry, it's my fault. The problem wasn't such a problem, the driver was missing. I've find the correct one and now everything's all right. No firmware lost, only a driver issue. But thank you for your time.

I have the broadcom in my list with a ! mark.. I try updating the driver and it almost updates but my laptop crashes a blue screen. "Windows shutdown to prevent  damage" I am running Windows XP. I think my card driver or number is 802.11b. Any fixes for this? This laptop used to have win 7 in it...

Sorry, no idea about your problem. My OS is Ubuntu and everything goes well after the driver update. Good luck!
