HI, Acer team, i use Linux (dual-boot) with windows. I would like to remove windows, how do i backup the windows install so if something goes wrong i can just pop in a disk and install windows again? If any other info is needed i can provide it.

Ice, if your rig uses Windows Vista, I don't blame you for wanting to get rid of it. But may I make another suggestion? Why don't you delete all unnecessary data from Windows and then shrink the partition? You could also use your recovery disks to reformat Windows, get all the updates, and then shrink the partition.

One last question, if it fails how can i reinstall windows, insert the first disk or keep the recovery partition.

I don't know if your partition will survive re-installing Windows. But if not, you can create another partition and try Linux again.
