BIOS and driver questions for Aspire M5-583P upgrade to Windows 8.1

Hi, just wanted to ask a few quick questions to make sure I do not make any errors with ugrading my Aspire M5-583P from Windows 8 to 8.1.

1) Which BIOS version should be updated to prior to the Windows upgrade? Version 2.28?

2) Does uninstalling the Intel VGA driver prior to the Windows upgrade cause any display issues?

3) After the upragde to Windows 8.1, is there a simple one-step way to check that all the correct drivers are still installed?
