I have read posts relating to battery removal here, but am unable to remove the battery on my ES1-511 Aspire. The battery seems to me on the left bottom corner and there is no oval button or any such thing to help me eject the battery. Also, the battery compartment is small than the usual. Any ideas, suggestions, please? The manual does not provide any info on this. Thanks.

The battery on this model is not removable. It is a strip of cells cemented inside the computer chassis. To even get at it, you have to take apart the computer and disconnect several ribbon cables. 

The good news is it does seem to be a pretty hefty battery- gets good run time and probably won't need replacement for several years.
