I have an Aspire one D255E that has been sitting in a drawer never touched. I am not computer savvy and wondered wht I need to do. It open on, I guess its the bios page?  It says info/type/settings at top then at bottom F1 F2 etc but does not open on a windows page. What must I do? Thanks

I suspect a small bios battery needed to re-mind the computer how to start Windows has discharged from sitting in a drawer. 8^) To refresh the computer's memory, simply plug it in, push the power button, and tap the F2 key when you see the Acer logo screen. This will take you to the bios menu. When this menu appears, press the F10 key. Another screen will pop up asking if you want to exit and save the settings - yes or no. Tap the Y key or highlight the Yes with the arrow key and press the Enter key. If all goes well, upon exiting and saving the bios settings, the computer should now remember how to start Windows. Let us know if it does --- or doesn't even. 8^)
