Hello Tommy
does an upgrade on Bios not affect Dvd playback? Why does the acer support in Sweden claims it does?
It seems that acer in Sweden is trying to lure me.
Look at the first post I wrote.

That may depend on the BIOS update itself and the system.
Do you know what version of BIOS you currently have on the system?

Hello Tommy
My Bios version
I have insyde corp V2.13 2013-01-17
can you help me?

I'm not sure what you're asking for help with exactly.
I can tell you that there is no update to the VGA BIOS from v2.13 to v2.15.
There does not appear to be anything that would directly relate to the issue that you are seeing.
Would it hurt to update? Probably not.
Would you be able to pursue other avenues with Acer Sweden once you've updated? Definately.

Try scanning your computer with RadarSync so that you will know which drivers need updating. You can use the same software to update them all.
It sounds like driver related issue. You can fix them through updates.

Hello Tommy
I forgot to mention that someone have carved in the word SINO on the notebook harddrive holder, i mean the square not the harddrive.Maybe if someone tied to lure me at the store were i bought it. Maybe I should buy a new harddrive and replace it?This is really strange!

At this point, there is little to lose by attempting to restore the system to factory defaults.
I have no idea what "radarsync" is, nor does Acer recommend the use of third party software or drivers.
Did you update the BIOS as discussed above?
Have you contacted Acer Sweden again?
You may wish to restore the system to factory defaults:

hello tommy
Is it possible the problem could be the harddrive because it was a word carved in the harddrive holder?
maybe if i replace it the dvd issue would be solved?

I do not see how a word carved into the plastic of the hard drive case would have any effect on a video display.
I'm about at the end of what information I'm able to offer over a community thread.
I would sincerely suggest that you communicate again with Acer Sweden support and see how they can assist you.
I do not know where the word is from or why it would be "carved" into the plastic of the hard drive bay.
