Hi.  I just purchased the e1-472p-6860 from Costco and am interested in upgrading the RAM memory from 4GB to at least 8GB.  Is it possible?  I have worked on several laptops in my career but don't want to take the entire back cover off until I know more.  If I can upgrade, does anyone know what the memory chip replacement would be?  I am guessing 8GB DDR3L 1600MHZ sodimm.  Much Thanks,

Yes, you got the memory type correct but I'm afraid you need to remove the back cover to upgrade the RAM.

Thanks. Not a problem. If I can find the 8GB stick for $50,or less I'll make a video and post to YouTube. Heck I may even make the first review ever on this model. Acer please feel free to send the ram
