In my Aspire V3-772g I installed 4 x 4 GB RAM. But only 2 of 4 memory modules are used by Win 8.1 Pro 64 bit. It displays 16 GB RAM installed, but only 8 GB used. The Bios show me 16 GB and even with CPU-Z I can see 16 GB. I checked the modules, they are all OK. Also I updated my Bios to the latest 1.13 Version. Probably a driver problem? But I went to the Intel page and updated all Intel drivers and it doesn't resolve the problem. A haardware defect? Unlikelly - I can see the 16 GB in the BIOS in CPU-Z. A Win 8 setting? No idea - never heared of something like that.

Does anyone had the same problem and resolved it?

Seems that it's because you have dual core processor. Only quad core processors support quad memory modules. That's strange, that ACER left 2 slots for memory in this configuration.. But still in V3-772G processor is replacable.

Asfar as I know, the 4200M should be able to handle 4 modules, since it has 2 memory channels like the i7 cores:. Only the old dual cores had inly one.
