When updates are posted on Aspire Support Page my Aspire Switch 10 will not complete most downloads I attempt. It downloads anywhere from 60% to 95% of a particular download, then goes no further even though it indicates it is still downloading. I have left it in this "downloading" state for 10 minutes with no further progress. Of the few smaller zip files it did download completely, I got an error message of "Unspecified Error # 0x80004005" when it tried to unzip some of those. Any suggestions?

There should not be any problems downloading any of the drivers from the support page. May I ask what updates you are attempting to download I would gladly try to reproduce your issue.
Also you may want to try another zip file program to extract such as 7-zip.
