Hello,
I have an Aspire One Touch and I'd like to upgrade the RAM beyond 4 GB and if possible see if I can add a discrete video card, though I'm fairly sure I can't add a video card (let me dream!) How would I go for adding RAM to my particular computer and which RAM cards are recommended? I don't mind paying extra if I have to. If I can upgrade to 8 or even 16 GB of RAM it would be so wonderful. Thanks for the help.
EDIT: Forgot to add I upgraded to Windows 8.1 from the Store.

Thank you for the reply. The link is very useful, but I checked Intel's site for my exact processor i3-3217U, and it said there that my laptop could take up to 32 GB of RAM memory. I wonder.

Yes, it's indeed possible that your machine could recognize and use more than the advertised 16gb max. Crucial is very helpful. You might want to check directly with them on this point.

I'll leave this open in case an Acer representative can give me more information on the subject (if they don't, chat it is.) And yeah, I'm liking what I see in Crucial. I'll definitely keep them in mind. Thanks so much.
For now, I'll wait and see what Acer has to say, if anything. If no other replies come in, I'll definitely mark this as an answer!

You might want to refer to this crucial memory forum. The amount of memory you can actually use and access also depends on the installed operating system --- specifically if it's 32 vs 64 bit, home premium vs ultimate, etc.

No need to worry about that since this computer's 64 bit. Thanks for the info. I'll ask around in Crucial maybe.
