my scroll pad is not working on my Aspire E-14 on Windows 8 pro. Need help please

When did you notice that it stopped working? Does device mgr show any problems?

i just bought the laptop yesterday. i was trying to scroll using the touch pad and its not working.

OK. Run the file "main.cpl". Check under device settings to make sure the touchpad is enabled. Also check device manager for any error messages or warnings. Report back with results. Thanks.

My touchpad is always on lag. What can I  do to fix this?

Usually don't have to look for it  Just Run "main.cpl" w/o the quotations marks. Or go to the command prompt window and enter main.cpl. Either way should bring up your touchpad or mouse properties box that should also be somewhere in your task bar. Play around with some of the settings to try to change the touchpad characteristics.
