This is a long shot, but does anyone know where I can get a replacement battery for my 4830TG-6808? Acer doesn't even want to talk to me as the laptop is not under warranty. The only places I can find batteries are on Ebay (from China) and websites like usalaptopbattery.com (in SIngapore). None are genuine Acer batteries.

I love this laptop, but after 1 year and 9 months the battery wear is 42% and I am lucky to get 3.5 hours of battery life.

On the other hand I am pretty disgusted with Acer's after sale support. I thought ASUS was the worst, but I will never buy another Acer laptop when this one dies. The latest drivers were released over 2 years ago. I am just glad the computer has been basically reliable.

sharanji, The Acer store does not list my battery- part number AS11A3E or AS11A5E. I purchased the computer in the US. Just for fun, I will try calling Acer sales in the morning. I really hope they can sell me one.

Madkiwi, I'm sorry that you're having this problem. With normal use, your nine-hour battery normally would be down to 3.5 hours after 1 year and 9 months.

Acer is an international company with factories all over the world. Your laptop might have been manufactured in the US, and New Zealand Acer stores are dealing with a closer factory.

Although Acer cannot guarantee non-Acer batteries, you can try this site as well https://www.laptopbattery.co.nz/

Called Asus yesterday. Got told to call Capital Data, they were the only authorized parts supplier for older Acer models. Called them, and got a guy who took my serial number, but told me he would have to call back "later on this afternoon" to give me the price on my battery. By today I realized he was a liar, and purchased a battery on Ebay. Reinforces my opinion to never buy another Acer, as long as their product support sucks like this...

I have also same, maybe worse, issue with the battery of aspire 4830tg. Actually it was very good batterywith its 9 hours life. Now it is less than half an hour . 

I am now trying to buy a battery. It is reliable to get from ebay, will it be original?
