I have an Acer Aspire 1410 laptop. For a long time now, after using the laptop for a while, the screen starts rolling and flickering. It will eventually be unreadable and go gray/white/black, etc. When I plug in an external monitor, there is no flickering so I know it's not the video board. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me which component is bad so I can change it out. Thanks.

This issue is with the laptop screen. Contact Acer support to have it repaired or further help.

Thanks for the reply. Is there any way to test this? The only reference to an identical problem on these forums was identified as a motherboard problem after which the owner decided to scrap the laptop. As such, no replacement/solution was actually found.
