Hi all,
I have a v3-571g i7-3630qm 2.4GHz with geforce 730m with 4gm dedicated Vram running on w8. I bought it almost a year ago from a reseller in Turkey. Couple of days ago I have bought a 27" asus monitor (pb278 - 2k resolution).
My problem is I can't get a 2k resolution 2560x1440.
I have contacted to Acer's local support. But they dont even know if the 730m does support for 2k resolution. I was not sure either until I checked from nVidia's site.
I don't think this is a video card problem, because I've tried the monitor with another laptop with gt720m and it delivers 2k resolution without any problems.
Here is what I've tried to fix the problem.
Returned the pc to its factory settings.
Updated all windows updates.
Updated HD 4000 driver (from acer's site) then gt730m's driver (again from acer's site and using driver sweeper properly)
Once these steps didn't work I ve returned to factoy setting again and tried to update drivers from manufacturers site.
First intel driver and then gt730m's driver.
One thing that I did not try is to update bios. It always irritates me for no reason.
Anyway the reseller suggested this model when I asked for a mid performance CAD-CAM pc.
If anything I missed or did wrong please, PLEASE let me know. Any Suggestion is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
