Hi,

I have a notebook of this type:

Acer Aspire E1-572G 15,6" HD Radeon R7 M265 2GB, Core i5-4200U, 8GB RAM, 1000GB HDD, Windows 8.1, Acer model #NX.MJRED.007.

There is an empty bay available for an additional SATA-device on this model and I would like to add a second SSD using an aftermarket caddy (hard-disk tray). Does anyone know the proper caddy dimension, (caddy thickness of 9.5 or 12.5 mm for this model ?) and a good supplier on Ebay?

Hi

I can't help with that specific query as I don't own that model but when I needed a new caddy I called the number on the ask Acer page. They put me in touch with a UK parts supplier and I was able to order one over the phone.

A word of warning.. mine arrived with no screws. I've ordered some spares from Ebay so it's being held in with tape until they arrive
