Acer e3-111 on startup shows the Acer & "please wait" Hard drive clicks, nada else. Alt F10 failed.

I have a friend's Acer e3-111 that when started displays the Acer logo and "please wait". The hard drive is clicking away but nothing else happens. Eventually the screen goes blank. I tried "Alt" F10 at start up to try to get to recovery with no joy. It is only a month old and ACER warranty service is not responding.

Boot pressing F2, enter Bios and check if D2D is enabled.
If enabled and ALT+F10 doesn't work.....probably is an HDD failure.
Contact Acer support.
