Acer aspire v3-771-6621 blue light on but won't power up.

I have tried to remove the battery and run it without the battery and there is no blue light when plugged in. i have also tried to hold power for 1 min and then restart it with the battery in with no luck. Is it possibly that it needs a good battery in order to function or is it a motherboard and destined for the recycle bin?

You should be able to run the computer with just an adapter and no battery. If it won't work, it may be time for repair.
