I have an Acer Extensa 5620 running vista. The screen got broken so I installed a new one made by you, part number X000248AKR Serial number LXE540X007739219F02000, .SNID 73913771220
The display is all messed up.
Screen starts out as a very light gray with fine vertical lines.
Over a period of 15 minutes or so, a light blue vertical stripe appears gradually darkening to almost black. Then goes away. The remainder of the screen darkens a little to a beige. After a while longer the total screen changes to a blue.
I tried reseating the plugs but that did not help.
The computer does great with an external monitor so the problem is definitely in the replacement screen or my connections to it.
I am confident of my replacement as there is a great YouTube vide on the subject.
Any ideas what I can do to fix the problem or is it a bad screen?

Sounds like either a faulty panel OR incompatible panel.
The part number you have posted is not one which I would use to normally identify a panel, I would be looking for something like :
LTN154KT03 rev b (manufacturer part number)
N165B6 -L0B Rev C1 (manufacturer part number)
LK.1560d.001 (acer part number)
There is a small chance the LCD/LED cable is at faulty but 99% of the time it is the panel.
Best of luck !
