Hello,
On my Acer Aspire V5-571 laptop I recently had a problem where the compter would reguarly BSOD showing the error:
KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR
It now no longer boots to windows and I supect the hard drives had near fully failed. This is not the issue however because while troubleshooting and trying to fix the disk I can now no longer get into the BIOS using F1!
When beginning I could but now when I wish to get into the BIOS I start the machine, hit F1 repetibly, a beep sounds (so the key must be working) but then the screen flahses and goes to the windows loading screen and the windows attempts to load!
I cannot get into the bios....what is this?
Trying to troubleshoot a likely failing hard drive and now having to contend with this.

Thank you for the prompt reply and the information. However I was using F2 it was a typo! I did not mean F1! Sorry.
I have already tried removing the battery and using mains power. I have tried draning the power also.
Nothing is working, still cannot get into the bios. ![]()
I don't have any recovery media created for this Windows 8 machine.
