Hello, so I've bought this Acer laptop, it's model listed above, with the Atheros AR5BWB222 wireless adapter and the WiFi connection drops out every 1-2 mins, even if it shows it's connected with 5 bars. On other devices the same wifi works perfectly fine, but now with this one. I've tried the adapter power options, etc. but nothing helps. I'm thinking of returning this laptop. I hope anyone could help.

You will need to update the Atheros WiFi driver to the latest version.

Updating to win7-10.0.0.255-whql.zip (2528 KB) didn't help

Hello.
I have same issues with wifi connection on same laptop model (V3-772G) and same wireless adapter (Atheros AR5BWB222), running Windows 8.1.
Drivers are up to date and no other device in my network has this problem.
When connected via ethernet cable connection is stable.
I've also tried to test Wi-Fi on Ubuntu live cd, disconnecting ocurres also on this OS.

@d0min0
That is a Windows 7 driver? I'm not seeing that listed on the Drivers page for the V3-772G system.
I do show the following:
| Wireless LAN | Atheros | Wireless LAN Driver | 10.0.0.225 | 37.6 MB | 2013/05/06 | Download |
This is WLAN_Atheros_10.0.0.225_W8x64.zip.
@wnuczu
I do not support Ubuntu on the product and I have no idea what driver is available for the adapter in Linux.
for Windows 8.1, I do show this driver:
| Wireless LAN | Atheros | Wireless LAN Driver | 10.0.0.263 | 251.4 MB | 2013/10/09 | Download |
This is WLAN_Atheros_10.0.0.263_W8.1x64.zip.

Does this issue occur under Windows 8? or only under Windows 8.1?

Can you provide for me the serial number or part number of your system, please?
