Is the external microphone on this notebook stereo? Also, does anybody know what the sample rate is?
Thanks.

I guess a little expansion might help.
I'm trying to find out if this laptop would function as the computer component of a Software-Defined Radio. For that, I need the microphone jack to function similar to the line-in port on a desktop-type sound card, i.e. accept two separate channels. The sample rate will tell me how much of the bandwidth of the radio I'll be able to use at once, i.e. a 44kHz sample rate will give me 44kHz of bandwidth at once.
If anyone can help me with that, or tell me where I can look up those specs, I would be much appreciative.
Thanks.

The V3-772G comes with a digital microphone and uses the Realtek ALC3225-CG audio controller. It is stereo and below are the sampling rates:
It supports stereo digital microphone input, and programmable boost gain and volume control, and also supports combo jack with stereo headphone output and mono microphone input on a 4-pole jack.
I hope this information helps and that I covered what you were asking.
