Hi just bought new Acer Aspire V3-772G-54208G1TMakk few days ago with preinstaled Windows 8.1 64-bit. Notebook worked perfectly since yesterday when Windows did some autoupdates. After that reboot I'm not able to connect on my Wi-Fi home network.
Wi-Fi card in notebook is Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222
I google for solution and tried different things from roll back driveres to new instalation of differant version of drivers. Tried already version -274, -270, -263,-255 of Atheros drivers and it did not work in this case. Tried even trick with Comand Prompt and netsh.exe and did not work either.
I'm on the edge to shoot someone from Microsoft or Acer or to format HDD and do clean install of Windows 7 64bit.
Is there solution for this mess?

Press the support button at the top of this page. Click on your country. Click contact Acer. Choose the chat or phone support option with your machine's ID (on the bottom) since you qualify under the warranty. Do this now instead of trying to mess around any further!

I live in **bleep**y country so can forget any reliable tehnical support here...problem is software caused and probobly some compatibility issue. For example in a case that I need to change WiFi router I want to be sure that is the cause before I waste more money
just need tip how to solve it

Follow this video for Win8 erecovery to factory settings with the retain data option if you need it.

Then try re-installing updates. Report back with results

On the end I bought erthnet cable and pluged in....Broadcom erthnet working OK but Atheros wifi don't

That might be because your unit shipped with broadcom wireless hardware. Have you tried downloading and installing one of the Acer broadcom drivers yet?

in device manager says Qualcomm Atheros WiFi card and Broadcom Erthnet card and there is Atheros Bluetooth USB device...
didn't touch any instalations as notebook came with preinstaled Win 8.1...WiFi worked OK few days and I just remeber that there was some system update and after that restart WiFi didn't work

OK. If you think it might've been due to an update, go to control panel and search "restore point". Then click "show more restore points". You could try to choose a point that you think immediately pre-dates when you first noticed the problem. If it doesn't work, you can always undo the changes.

but isn't the same procedure as recovery to factory settings?

Did you run the factory restore earlier without the option of saving your data?
