I purchased an Acer Aspire S3-951-6464. I purchased it as a refurbished product, the first (and now last) time I had ever done so (at least without an extended warranty). It worked perfectly for almost a year, then started bluescreening. I wiped everything, reinstalled the OS, and it continued to bluescreen and freeze. A memtest showed I had corrupt memory. The failure rate improved when I stopped using chrome, or ran it safe-mode, but even that didn't last long.
Now I use it sporadically, but it is otherwise a paperweight because it randomly crashes so often that I lose too much work to make it worth the risk. I even had to re-type this post because IE "encountered an error" and had to restart the tab.
Thing is, I had no problem just swapping out the corrupt memory, but unfortunately it's soldered onboard. I'm assuming it's soldered on to the motherboard? Can anyone confirm that? If so, is it even worth the risk of buying a "new" used MB that may suffer the same issues all over again?
Does anyone see this issue frequently in the Acer S3? Really a shame, I like it otherwise, but this was a big waste of money. Any other tips or advice are welcome!

Hello sp82,
I checked the 3 part numbers below:
| MB.RSE01.001 | MAIN BD.UMA.W/1.4G/CI32367MB |
| MB.RSE01.002 | MAIN BD.UMA.W/CPU-I52467/4GRAM |
| MB.RSE01.003 | MAIN BD.UMA..W/4G.CI72637MB |
The memory and cpu are integrated.

Thanks! Yeah I was checking out some motherboards on ebay and confirmed that from the seller as well...now I just need to decide whether it's worth spending the 70 bucks for a refurb motherboard and hope that does the trick. Thanks for checking!
