Acer Aspire E1 startup problem

I have an Acer Aspire E1 model Q5WPH, runnng Windows 8. All has been well until this week when the screen began flashing random colours.

I powered the machine off and from then on it refuses to boot back up. Power appears to be getting through as it starts up the DVD drive but then the power light goes off - then back on and the process continues until I power the machine off again.

Is this a known issue and is there anything to be done to fix it?

Hi,

Do You See the Acer Logo when the computer Is powered On, if no, then its a Hardware issue & if the unit is under warranty please contact support for a service

Sadly, I don't see the Acer logo on power on. And even more sadly the machine is over 1 year old.

Check if you have any extended warranty or service plan from the store you got the unit, that may help you save some $s.
