After a hard drive failure i was forced to reinstall Windows 7 64-bit on my 3830TG. Everything works now except the audio. Ive installed the drivers from the acer website with no luck. Trying multiple other drivers and what not has gotten me nowhere. Anyone have any ideas?

I hope you have installed the audio driver from the below link:

In case it does not work, go to Device Manager and check if there is any error under "Audio, video and Game controllers" section.

Did not help. Ive installed and uninstalled a number of drivers. The are no errors in device manager. I do have a question: is device manager supposed to show 2 different HD audio devices?
