For 4 years I had this netbook without a problem.  I even updated the hard drive 2 years ago to 500gbs. Last week when I turned it on, it will not boot.  It stops at the Windows XP screen.  I followed the E-How instructions to update the bios but it still did not work.  What do I do now?  Any ideas?

How was the 500gb hard drive software installed? That is, was a hidden recovery partition installed at the same time? If recovery program was installed, press F2 to enter the bios and check that the disk-to-disk recovery option is enabled. Exit the bios and simultaneously press ALT + F10  to enter the recovery partition. Follow the prompts.
