Hello!
I am having issues with my Acer 3820T. It is unable to detect any network connections at all. It keeps recieving an error message saying that my Network Controller driver has failed. Any suggestions on how I can fix this?

Hello Sendrak,
In first, check in Device manager like this:
- Click on Start
- Type the command mmc devmgmt.msc in Search zone
- Check the device(s) which have a "?". Note the name (Normally, your issue is the Atheros lan controller or wireless
lan controller)
You can access to Device manage like this too.
Indicate me if you have Win7 32 or 64 bits.

I am running Windows 7 64bit
In the device manager it shows both the Ethernet Controller, and the Network Controller with (!) on the icon. After looking through all the devices, those two were the only ones with an indicator of any kind on them.

Both the Network Controller and the Ethernet Controller say in the device status that there are no drivers for the device (code 28)
Everything was working fine until I restarted my computer yesterday.

Download the Drivers Again

Extracted and installed the drivers listed. Restarted, and the computer is still unable to locate any connection options.
Back in the device manager it now lists the Aetheros AR5b97 Wireless Network Adapter, but still has the (!) under it. While looking at the device status it says "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for the device. A recent hardware of software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown sourse. (Code 52)"
The ethernet controller is still listed as it was before, still having the (!). It still reads as having the drivers needed for the device, (code 28).
Thanks for your help!

Thank you! The combo of the new drivers, as well as turning off the Driver Signature Enforcement fixed the issue!
