I have two P236H monitors, one of which will not power up (no Blue light). Replaced both the power board and interface board without success. Found new ILPI-223 (power) and ILIF-232 (Interface) boards and the monitor is still not functioning.
I do have 5VDC coming from the power boards to the interface board. Maybe the firmware is gone, don't have any known way of checking. Can't tell what the status of the new interface board is regarding firmware either.
Interestingly the second monitor (which still works) has completely different boards. The bad one made 5/2010 and the good one made in 9/2010.
Anyone have any ideas or am I just banging my head against a brick wall. Trying to get info on these monitors (schematics, etc) is almost impossible, at least so far.
Will Acer take just the interface board in for repair or could my switchboard or display be bad?? Not sure how to check.

The monitor that is not working even after replacing said boards, I would recommend you contact Acer Service in your region.

Thanks for the reply, the monitor is now a breakdown display for neophytes to view. Most users don't have a clue how the LCD monitors are contructed or work. Makes for an interesting conversation/educational piece.
As for repair, I started thru the repair process on the web site and finally came to a page that stated there was a flat fee for repair. I went out and bought a new monitor (non Acer) for half the price of getting the old one repaired. Bigger and hopefully better.
So much for technology these days. Unfortunately I grew up when you had to fix everything that broke and that still keeps me going.
