my son got the Aspire One Cloudbook 14 for christmas last year. This year he started middle school and wanted it wiped clean to start all over to use it for his school work. i have tried everything i know and all that i have read to get this thing back to normal setting, and it will not do anything! i have done the Alt and F10 and all of those and everything ends up saying there was something wrong with the computer that it couldnt be done. have gone through the F2 menu, and it still is the same.... have no recovery disk.... what in the world can i do now?

be sure that the PC you will use to create the installation media has an UEFI BIOS, if you are not sure, using the same tool, select to download the iso file.

once done, use Rufus, copying the settings from their website main page and create the USB bootable media.

check the warranty status on this. did you buy a protection plan with this unit. I would check on see if you have a folder called acer. if it does click on it and first create backup disks. then you can choose restore from the left side.

also, go to acer website for any manuals these are helpful if you want to do a clean reinstall of the software. But if you think that the hard drive is small, buy a bigger one and upgrade the memory to the full that it would take. This would make it better and faster. Also, whereever you bought this would also help you too. hope this helps.
