tripped on cord and unplugged laptop. now it won't charge. can this be fixed?

I tripped Mon my charger plug and pulled it out of the laptop. Now it won't charge. Is this computer doomed?

    First, test the AC power supply (charger) to be sure there are 19V at the end. Or try a different Aspire charger to be sure.  Otherwise, the jack has been damaged. An inexpensive part, but does require a majority of the laptop be disassembled to replace it.
