question on Erocovery for Aspire 5471 should be simple for a tech

Hi:

I had an issue with Erocovery. Windows 7 is **** and got to the erocovery management without windows after erocovery with windows was totally DEAD. Forums said to use alt f10 and then if windows login screen showed to press enter.. Did f10 and when the windows screen showed up it was in rdsik format for the winimage. Even though there was an edit option I followed the instuctions nad left it alone by hitting the enter key. Now hen i try to run default factory restore it says after about 3 minutes in "Restore failed - error code 0x3 (wimapplyimage cannot apply image: the system cannot find path specified.)" I'm assuming the instructions were in error and i had to edit the rdisk string so the the image would know here to go. Please help

I'd like to get some additional pieces of information and provide a link to our recovery feature with a video to see if that will help you get it up and working. Sometimes the directions included can be confusing.
