need you to add support in bios for CL9 -1600mhz DDR3 to E-5-551-T5SV as i have already purchased a 8gb kit (2x4gb) from corsair, many other memory producers make this type of memory only supporting the much slower CL11 1600mhz

going cl9 would provide a small but noticable improvement in responcivness of the laptop

or even allow the laptop to default to the slower cl11 settings if cl9 modules are used

    The e5-551 supports DDR3 PC3 12800 1600MHz. The CL9 should work fine.

The only way you would be able to tell you were using CL9 instead of CL11 is if you ran a memory diag.

the memory may need 1.5v to do 1600mhz cl9 on this laptop too.... even though it was tested at 1.35v cl9 1600mhz ..... and no actual bios option to even change the settings

If you can return the memory or cancel the order,do it and if the CL11 will run, buy it. You'll never notice the difference.

Lol i went from 1600 cl11 to cl8 1600 on my desktop with ssd and i def felt a real response difference since i have a 850 evo samsung ssd in the laptop and its using already limited shared video n system ram i def think it would be noticable in gpu related stuff just like how dual channel ram affects onboard graphics
