    drumshade,

Thank you for the clarification. I am going to assume you are stating that when you turn your notebook off and back on, the wireless stays off?

I'm trying to think of a reason it would remain off. The driver for it possibly could be corrupt, which you can try to remove and install again to make sure. Another issue could be an application that was installed after the restore to factory defaults that is causing an issue.

    drumshade,

Could you please provide some additional model information and what sort of restore you performed; a system restore or factory restore to defaults?
