My Acer aspire one is 3 years old.
I had to have it repaired by Acer a few months after purchase.
Now that I am trying to reinstall Windows(cause she's slowed down a bit )
I can't why cause there isn't a portion with Windows on it. And Acer support says I have to pay $44 and some change for a flash drive with my operating systems on it.

Why?

It's is suppose to be there I haven't changed a hard drive.
That's right Acer changed it when the first one failed!
I am going to file a formal complaint for unethical business practices.
I shouldn't have to pay for the os that was pre installed on my computer and should be in the hard drive partition.
Treat your customers better and they may purchase again .
As of right now I will never buy Acer again I'll buy Dell or Asus.

    Hi,

Sorry that your computer is not working & you are unable to install OS, just for clarification here, you are not asked to purchase OS, but the recovery media, as you said the computer is 3 years old now, you had almost 3 years to create a Recovery media, if you would have created 1. you could have used the same to restore the unit, & moreover recovery media is NOT A PART OF WARRANTY,. because of the above said reason. for a 3 year old computer you think Acer is not doing things right, On my personal Openion I would say the same will happen with any Manufacturer for that matter. Cheers.
