erecovery media compatability

I have an Acer Aspire E1-571-6856 with windows 7 Home Premium.

I want to buy an erecovery disk.

My laptop is out of warranty.

The page for the erecovery asks for SNID.

When I enter my laptop's SNID nothing happens.

How can I be sure I'm getting a recovery disk that will work?

I tried to go through Microsoft to buy or make a free recovery disk, but when I enter the product code Microsoft says my OS was OEM and I have to contact the manufacturer.

In this case, you can go to the following link and use "Chat with us" option to contact Acer support for further assistance:
    http://store.acer.com/store/aceramer/en_US/eRecovery

    Hope this will help you.

I can't chat with acer support.

My computer is out of waranty.

If I try to chat with acer support they just refer me to their 3rd party support company that charges big money to ask them a simple question.

I just want to know how I can be sure I'm getting a recovery disk that will work for my laptop.

I want to make sure I don't spend money on a recovery disk that when I enter the product code and try to reinstall windows it says my OS was OEM and the recovery disk is useless.

    is your HDD broken?

was your laptop bought in the USA?

    I'm not an Acer employee.

I"m stupid. I messed up the solution and kudos.

I thought you were referring me to acer support when you were refering me to sales support.
