I have purchased the aspire vn7-791g  less than 2 months ago,

at first the battery seemed fined, it could last for up to 4 hrs. however yesterday after fully charging it it just discharged after just 1 hour. I left the battery to charge all night, and the next day it was still discharging pretty fast (at 100% i had 1hr 10 min remaining) this is the first time i encounter this problem. My laptop is new.

any help?

    Hi elienaoum,

I would let the system run and completely discharge on it's own. Then let it fully charge and see what happens. Another test you could run would be to fully charge it and then leave it in the BIOS to see how long it lasts. This would tell you if it's actually the battery or possibly a battery option.

You can also go into your power settings and make sure that the battery setup is properly configured (you just don't want it to be on Max CPU, Max Brightness, etc...).

If it continues to be short, I'd suggest contacting support as they may need to setup services to get that resolved for you.

    Thanks,
    Cory
