    Hi

    A little more info please.

    What OS is it?  Windows10?

What do you mean by reset?  Re-install the Operating System, back to Factory Fresh?

Press & hold the power button till the machine shuts off. About 5 seconds. Release the power button. Then follow the video instruction again. Report back. Jack E/NJ

Press & hold the power button again till the machine shuts off. Then press the power button to turn the machine back on. At the ACER logo screen, tap F2 key to enter the BIOS menu. Does the BIOS properly recognize/identify the hard drive? Jack E/NJ

The BIOS menu INFO dropdown should list the HDD model name and its serial number. For example, HDD model name:

    ST500LM024 HN-X001MBB. HDD serial no.: S51QJ9HG504000  Jack E/NJ

Sorry, it seems like an unrepairable HDD boot-section failure. However, your personal data may still be recoverable by connecting it as a non-bootable drive on another machine.

Is the system still within the warranty period? If not, you can try the ACER USB or DVD eRecovery media specific to your machine --- about $20. Even if the media doesn't work, you'll need it for re-installing Win10 on a new HDD and re-setting the machine to a factory fresh state.

Sure! That would be a great upgrade. Go to crucial dot com, download their scanner, and the scanner will recommend an compatible SSD for your particular system. Jack E/NJ
