hello
my acer aspire 6935 laptop turns on but nothing shows up on the screen, i can hear the fan and all the touchpad lights are on but the screen is black with no response.
I want to know how can I flash Bios using a usb drive (the dead laptop uses windows 8 ) . I downloaded the latest bios file for my laptop model from acer website but I don't know what to rename the files.
Please help Smiley Happy

    Hello,

Do you have the same issue with an external monitor connected to the VGA or HDMI port?

yes my laptop was completely dead "the black screen of death" but now I am replying from the dead laptop cause I have just managed to revive it by removing the Bios battery. I am running the computer now without reconnecting the bios battery don't know if that is correct. but what i know is that I am very happy to have my laptop work again .
    Thaaaank you very much.
And I hope that this post will help someone else.

It's good news! Smiley Happy "Removing the Bios battery" would have been my 2nd suggestion. Smiley Wink

A few years ago my acer aspire 6935's monitor wouldn't turn on. I noticed there was an issue with the screen; what appeared to be lcd damage. The only way I was able to access the information was with an external monitor. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement monitor?  Have been looking on a number of sites...nothing
